2026 programme
John Norris | Mr Chonkers
It's a solo show. A mockery and celebration of performance. Absurd. Simple. Outrageous. Stupid. Fun. It's terrible. An important waste of your time. It's great.
Please strongly consider all of this information before coming.
John Norris is a man whose absurd comedy is singular and oozes mountains of stupidity and silliness. Based out of Los Angeles and Las Vegas, John brings his word-of-mouth cult hit, sold-out, five-star, award-nominated debut show to Melbourne. Also, in 2009, he ate and digested an entire Kia Forte.
Sofie Hagen | I Think Some of This is My Fault
Sofie won Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Festival in 2015 and she thinks you all stopped talking about it too soon. Remember TV? Yeah, she did that too. You may know her from that, but it's more likely you know her from the internet, where she's been both funny and angry at times.
Sofie is from Denmark, but learned English at the age of four, just so she could go to Australia in 2026 and do stand-up.
Despite her excellent foresight, she never saw it coming that the fascists would be taking over. (Otherwise, she would have learned Russian, am I right?) Sofie has always tried to do the right thing, but now she has to ask herself: Did she do the right thing? And what will she say, with her last remaining freedom of speech? It better be good. She better be good.

Helen Bauer | Bless Her
Helen is back and is struggling.
She has spent the last year being forced to hang out with someone she doesn’t like and who honestly does not like her. It’s tense, it’s uncomfortable, they won’t leave.
A brand-new show from award-winning comedian Helen Bauer. Star of Live at the Apollo (BBC2), 8 Out Of 10 Cats (C4), Am I Being Unreasonable (BBC One) and Extraordinary (Disney+).
Jack Ansett | Looks Like a Bit of Me!
I, Jack Ansett (Taskmaster NZ, Guy Montgomery's Guy Mont-Spelling Bee) am returning to Australia with a brand-new show!
This is a great opportunity for you to get out of the house and enjoy a laugh with some friends.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to plug a young up and comer Ray O’Leary, who I think could do really well in the Australian market if he can get in front of enough people. I know you would much rather buy tickets to the big acts like, Aaron Chen, Urzila Carlson, Jack Ansett – but it is always a good idea to take a shot on a lesser-known face.
Language – occasional coarse language
Mish Wittrup | Not As Good As I Remember
Remember the good old days? When you were hotter/braver/brasher/more fun? Well, let's go back there, shall we? If only for 50 minutes or so...
Join award-nominated comedian Mish Wittrup on a walk down memory lane as you both try and figure out where we all went wrong.
Mish Wittrup is fresh off her sold out 2025 Melbourne International Comedy Festival season with a brand-new hour of comedy. You've seen her work with Aunty Donna, Michelle Brasier and on shows like Fisk (ABC/Netflix), Aunty Donna's Coffee Cafe (ABC) and Sam Pang Tonight, but you've never seen her like this before!

Christopher Hall | Pizazz
Showman, jester, attention chaser... come with Chris on the ultimate hometown holiday night out. From your 1.5-star hotel, he’ll give you a hilariously fun soirée and have you tucked up back in bed at a sensible time.
Christopher Hall, once first on the dancefloor and last on the night bus, is now in his early-mid 30s (very different to the late-earlies) and reflecting on his younger life-of-the-party self. This theatrical showboy started out putting on shows in the front room for his parents, then spent his early and late-mid 20s have dance-offs in Soho’s gay bars and performing in musicals on cruise ships.
'Background Singers' featuring collabs with Sugababes, Natasha Bedingfield, Sophie Ellis Bextor and Shania Twain shot him to fame on Instagram and TikTok. Now Chris is back IRL with his new, brilliantly hilarious stand-up show, with a high possibility of an outbreak of dancing.
This chorus boy takes centre stage for a fun, glamorous and unforgettable night. Don't miss your chance to get your dose of Pizazz.

Dan Tiernan is back at it again – and this time he’s got magic rocks in his pocket.
With a hat trick of sold-out Edinburgh shows under his belt, Dan is a double-Edinburgh award nominee who has received countless five star reviews. There’s no wonder The Guardian has named him “One of Comedy's Most Distinctive New Voices”.
Dan returns to Melbourne International Comedy Festival armed with an amethyst, a bucket full of sage and a rose quartz the size of his impossibly large head. And if that isn't otherworldly enough, he'll be delivering his most ambitious hour of stand-up to date.
As seen on Live at the Apollo, 8 out of 10 Cats Does Count Down, The Last Leg, QI, Just for Laughs New Faces and Mitchell and Webb are Not Helping.

Winner Best Male Comedian NZ Comedy Guild Awards 2023
Winner NZCG Award for Comic Originality NZ Comedy Guild Awards 2015, 2017, 2018 & 2021-2023
Winner Best Newcomer 2024 Sydney Comedy Festival
This is my new show, Touching My Active Mind. I’m leaning into all the fun stuff that makes a room feel alive. There’ll be an essay, one part that delves into the taboos of comedy, a joke that’s really wet and one prank. Also I got a revelation I wanna talk about.
I want the show to feel playful and unexpected, like we’re all in on something together. It’s comedy, but with space to muck around, be a bit janky and try things that feel fresh. If you’re coming, you’re part of the energy and we’re going to make the night feel new, fun and little bit dangerous.
'There’s a great sense that his material gradually builds in intensity and overwhelms you, which comes as a relief from washing-line shows that start and end strong while sagging in the middle.' Chortle (UK)
'Correos does not really tell jokes, but he does do almost everything else, and he does it fast and loud and with all the energy in the world. He can dance, DJ, kiss wild birds and maybe do hypnosis.' The Press

Ruby Teys | Ciao Latte
When sharp-tongued Sydney-sider Ruby Teys escapes to a small town in Sardinia for some sun and a strong espresso, a flirtatious cappuccino with a brooding local barista turns into the date from hell!
With no exit in sight and everything spiralling out of control, she blurts out a lie so outrageous that it stops him cold... and pulls her in deeper.
Instead of sipping limoncello and ghosting gracefully, Ruby is suddenly stuck playing the role of a lifetime in a sleepy Sardinian village where everyone’s a suspect, secrets don't stay buried and Stefano's cousin just happens to be connecting all the dots.
Tangled in a web of pasta, passion and preposterous pretending, will Ruby fake it 'til she makes it out... alive?
'Teys delivers a character performance that simply must be inducted into the Australian consciousness.' ★★★★★ Time Out
'A force in Aussie comedy.' ★★★★ The Age
Laura Davis | Swag

'Laura Davis is without a doubt one of the best comedians at Comedy Festival year after year. Back-to-back nominations for Most Outstanding Show in 2022 and 2023 were clearly well earned.' Scenestr
'A hundred colourful, delicate mind ribbons are unspooled and then somehow tied together in a finale that beggars belief. Warms the soul also. I can't imagine a comedy show that ends on a more hopeful, life affirming note. What Davis achieves, year in year out, goes beyond stand-up. It is artful, philosophical, self-aware, rational and exuberant.' British Comedy Guide

It’s clear what toxic masculinity is, but what does positive masculinity look like in a modern context? Josh Berry intends to provide some sort of answer to this question, through his many impressions and characters, as he tells the tale of being his best friend’s best man earlier this year. From routines on how to organise a ‘progressive stag do’, to the amusing difficulties men seem to face around positive emotional expression, the show is an opportunity for us to have a ruddy good laugh at a concept that could do with being taken a bit less seriously.
